This is a pastel portrait study, which I did after Monday’s drawing of this model. I was happy enough with my graphite drawing - the face looked believable, but it didn’t quite look like the model. I took another stab at it today using pastel and am much happier with the result. 

I used a mixture of pastel pencil and some hard pastel - and only one soft pastel to get a rich black for the hair.
