The Lonely Chair, 6.75 inches by 12 inches, pastel on paper

It seems like since I’ve been inspired to paint this chair, which sits in front of my studio window, I’ve been seeing paintings of interiors by artists through the ages everywhere. Empty rooms have a mysterious quality about them, and while this is just one little corner of a room, I’d like to  think that this lonely little chair has an enigmatic story all its own to tell. I’m going to explore this more, I think.
